Accessibility Lead

The Accessibility Lead owns the on-site accessibility programme across the events Anthropos Events delivers. The role covers four operational tracks:

• Accessible Camping Area (ACA): pitch design, resident induction, accessibility-of-facilities walk-through during build-week, in-festival liaison.
• Accessibility intake: form processing, pitch matching to declared access needs, special-category data handling under UK GDPR Article 9, hand-over to on-site crew at gate.
• Inclusion-policy operation: applying the Social Inclusion and Non-Discrimination policies on the ground, alongside the Welfare team and event security.
• Welfare and Medical liaison: escalation pathway for residents and attendees who need clinical or welfare support, in coordination with the volunteer and stewards leads and the welfare partner.

Apply for accessible-attendee support at any of our events through the application form. The form covers volunteer and accessible-attendee intake; we route the entry to the right host-event team.

ACA · Accessible Camping Area

The ACA is a designated camping area with level ground, accessible toilet and shower facilities, and proximity to Welfare and Medical. It exists so attendees who need it can camp on site without compromise.

What is in the ACA

• Level, drained ground with vehicle access for residents and carers.
• Dedicated accessible toilet and shower units (one accessible WC unit per zone, per Purple Guide).
• Power for medical equipment (CPAP machines, fridges for temperature-sensitive medication).
• Proximity to Welfare and Medical so escalation is short.
• Quieter than main camping; lighting paths to the arena.

Getting Here

Each site is accessible by car. Accessible parking spaces are available close to the entrance. Please contact the Accessibility Lead in advance so we can make arrangements for you.

If you are travelling by public transport, please contact us and we will do our best to assist with information about the most accessible route to that event's site.

Terrain

Our events take place on natural terrain which can include uneven ground, grass and woodland paths. We keep the main pathways as clear and firm as we can. If you have specific mobility requirements please contact us before the event so we can advise on the most accessible routes and areas at that venue.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible toilet facilities are available on site at every event we deliver. They are located near the main areas and are clearly signposted. Please speak to a member of crew or volunteer if you need help finding them.

Welfare Team

A dedicated welfare team is on site throughout each event, run alongside our welfare partner. The team can assist with a wide range of needs including medical, emotional and accessibility support. The welfare tent is clearly signposted on the site map.

Quiet Spaces

We have designated quiet spaces on site for anyone who needs a break from the main festival areas. These are calm, low-stimulus environments held away from the main programming.

Guide Dogs and Assistance Animals

Guide dogs and registered assistance animals are welcome at our events. We are unable to accommodate other animals on site.

PA Tickets & Carer Access

Personal Assistant (PA) and carer access is available where the host event provides for it. Contact the Accessibility Lead before booking and we will set up the right ticket pathway with the host's box office. For Anthropos Festival, email accessibility@anthroposfestival.org.per-event arrangement

BSL Interpretation

British Sign Language interpretation can be arranged for headline programming where notice is given. Please contact us with as much notice as possible so we can match you to the right slot and the right interpreter.per-event arrangement
